Your cloud, your servers
Odoo cloud hosting in your own account
On Starter, CloudPilot hosts Odoo for you on its own managed servers. On Pro and
Business, CloudPilot sets up and runs servers in your own cloud account or on machines
you already have, so the infrastructure, the data and the bill stay yours. You can use
both under one account.
How managed Odoo hosting works.
Your cloud account
Connect your cloud provider
Connect your AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr or Akamai
account with an API key. CloudPilot creates and sets up the server in your account.
Full root access, and the server stays in your account
Pay your cloud provider directly, with your own credits and discounts
Already have a VPS, a dedicated server or a machine in your office? Add any Ubuntu
or Debian server with its address and SSH login, and CloudPilot installs everything.
Works with any provider, data centre or on-premises machine
SSH credentials are used once to install the agent, then discarded
Odoo and its data stay on your machine, and backups can be downloaded any
time
Stop stitching together scripts, cron jobs and dashboards. CloudPilot handles the
operations so your team can focus on the business.
One-click Odoo deploys
Launch Community or Enterprise on Odoo 18, 19 or 20 in minutes, with PostgreSQL,
nginx and SSL set up for you.
Automated backups
Scheduled backups with retention rules, offsite copies to your own storage and
one-click restore.
Staging environments
Clone production into a neutralized staging copy, test safely, and refresh it
whenever you need.
Git-based modules
Connect GitHub, pick a repository and branch, and every push deploys your custom
addons automatically.
Domains and SSL
A free subdomain for every instance, plus custom domains with DNS checks and
automatic certificates.
Monitoring and alerts
Live CPU, memory and disk charts, searchable Odoo logs and notifications when
something needs you.
PostgreSQL tuning
Sensible defaults out of the box, with guided settings for memory, connections and
workers.
Team access
Invite your team with admin, full, read-only or custom roles scoped to individual
servers and instances.
REST API
On Business, everything in the dashboard is also in the REST API, so you can
automate deploys from your own tools.
How it works
From empty server to live Odoo in three steps
1
Connect a server
Connect your cloud account and CloudPilot creates one there, or add your own Ubuntu
or Debian machine with its IP and SSH login. The agent installs itself.
2
Launch Odoo
Choose a version and edition, name the instance and go. It gets a free subdomain
with SSL, ready to share in minutes.
3
Run it with confidence
Backups, staging, Git deploys, monitoring and updates run from the dashboard, so
production stays healthy without the busywork.
Backups
Automated Odoo backups you never have to think about
Every instance is protected on a schedule you choose, with copies wherever you want
them.
Cron-style schedules with retention in days
Store in CloudPilot, S3, Azure, Google Cloud or SFTP
Restore to the same instance or a brand-new one
Download any backup, any time

Staging
Odoo staging: test on a copy of production
Create a staging instance from production in one click. Outgoing email and scheduled
actions are neutralized, so nothing leaks to customers.

Monitoring
Odoo monitoring: know before your users do
Every instance is health-checked every 30 seconds. If Odoo stops responding,
CloudPilot restarts it automatically and tells you what happened.

Security
Secure Odoo hosting, hardened by default
Servers CloudPilot creates start locked down, and you keep root access and the keys.
Locked-down servers
SSH password logins are turned off and fail2ban blocks brute-force attempts from the
moment a server boots.
Automatic security updates
Operating system security patches install themselves, and the CloudPilot agent
updates itself too.
SSL everywhere
Every instance and custom domain gets an HTTPS certificate that renews
automatically, with a warning before anything expires.
No open agent ports
The agent on your server connects out to CloudPilot, so the control plane needs no
inbound access to your machine.
Encrypted credentials
Cloud tokens, SSH keys and backup credentials are stored with AES-256-GCM
encryption, never in plain text.
Least-privilege access
Give each teammate or client access to exactly the servers and instances they need,
and use scoped, read-only API keys for automation.

FAQ
Odoo hosting questions, answered
Do I need my own server?
Not on Starter: CloudPilot hosts your Odoo instance on its own managed servers, so
there is no server or cloud account to set up. On Pro and Business, connect AWS,
Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr or Akamai and CloudPilot creates
the server for you there, or add any Ubuntu or Debian machine you already have over
SSH. Either way, you manage everything from the same dashboard.
Which Odoo versions and editions are supported?
Odoo 18, 19 and 20, in both
Community and Enterprise editions. For Enterprise, add your subscription code and CloudPilot installs the Enterprise
addons for you.
Can servers run in my own cloud account?
Yes, on Pro and Business. Connect AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean, Hetzner,
Vultr or Akamai with an API token and CloudPilot creates and sets up the server
there. The server and its bill stay in your account. Odoo partners can do the same
with each client's account. On Starter, CloudPilot hosts your instance for you on a
shared server.
Do you charge per Odoo user or per instance?
No. Plans are flat monthly fees and Odoo users are never counted. Starter includes
one Odoo instance and a staging copy of it; Pro and Business include unlimited
instances.
Where are my backups stored?
By default in CloudPilot storage. You can also send them to your own Amazon S3 or
S3-compatible bucket, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage or an SFTP server,
each with its own schedule and retention.
Can I move an existing Odoo database to CloudPilot?
Yes. Create an instance from a backup and CloudPilot restores the database and
filestore, then gives you a free subdomain to check it before you switch your domain
over.
What happens if I stop using CloudPilot?
Your servers and data stay yours. Download any backup at any time, and remove
CloudPilot from a server you own without touching the Odoo instances running on it.
I'm an Odoo partner. Can I host my clients on CloudPilot?
Yes, that is what the Business plan is for. Manage every client from one account,
give each client access only to their own instances, and keep servers in your
account or theirs.
See CloudPilot for partners.
Is there an API?
Yes. On the Business plan, everything in the dashboard is available over a REST API
with per-user API keys, so you can script deployments and connect CloudPilot to your
CI. Pro and Business also include the CloudPilot MCP server for AI agents.
