The best Odoo hosting platforms in 2026

There are more ways to host Odoo than ever. This guide compares the main options on what actually matters in production: which editions they run, how much control you keep, and how the price grows with you.

Key takeaways

  • Odoo Online is the simplest option, but it runs only standard apps and no custom Python modules.
  • Odoo.sh is the official platform for Enterprise with custom code, priced per worker, storage and staging branch.
  • Control panels such as CloudPilot and Cloudpepper run Odoo on servers in your own cloud account, with root access and both editions.
  • Fully managed hosts such as EasyInstance run Odoo on their own servers and bill per worker and storage.

A quick disclosure first: we build CloudPilot, one of the platforms below. We have tried to describe every option fairly, including the cases where another one is the better choice. Competitor details come from their public websites in October 2026, so check each provider for current features and prices.

How we compared Odoo hosting options

We looked at six questions that decide how a hosting choice will feel a year from now:

  • Editions: does it run Odoo Community, Enterprise, or both?
  • Custom code: can you deploy your own Python modules and OCA addons?
  • Control: do you get root access, and can you choose the cloud provider and region?
  • Development workflow: are staging environments and Git deploys built in?
  • Backups: are they automatic, and can you keep copies in your own storage?
  • Pricing model: what grows the bill: users, workers, storage or instances?

1. Odoo Online

Odoo Online is Odoo S.A.'s software-as-a-service. You sign up, pick apps and start working, with no servers at all. It runs Enterprise only, and customization is limited to what Odoo Studio and configuration can do: you cannot install custom Python modules or most third-party apps.

Best for: small teams that fit Odoo's standard apps and never want to think about hosting.

2. Odoo.sh

Odoo.sh is the official platform-as-a-service for Odoo Enterprise customers who need custom code. It connects to a GitHub repository, builds every branch, and gives you production, staging and development environments. Servers run on Odoo's own infrastructure, and hosting is priced by workers, storage and staging branches on top of the Enterprise subscription.

Best for: Enterprise customers who want one vendor for license, hosting and support, and whose budget fits per-worker pricing. It does not run Community, and you cannot choose your cloud provider or get root access. See CloudPilot vs Odoo.sh for a side-by-side.

3. Cloudpepper

Cloudpepper is an Odoo hosting platform and control panel based in Brussels. It manages Odoo on servers from AWS, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr and other providers, or on Cloudpepper's own servers, with full root access and both editions. Its site lists plans from $29 a month when you bring your own cloud.

Best for: teams that want a control panel over their own servers, or a server bundled into the plan. See CloudPilot vs Cloudpepper.

4. EasyInstance

EasyInstance is a fully managed Odoo cloud: it runs Odoo on its own infrastructure and deploys an instance in about a minute, with backups, custom domains and staging included. Its site lists Odoo 16 to 19 and pricing per worker plus storage, so there is no separate server bill.

Best for: people who never want a cloud provider account and run a single, small instance. See CloudPilot vs EasyInstance.

5. CloudPilot

CloudPilot is an Odoo hosting platform and control panel. Connect AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr or Akamai and it creates the server in your own account, or add any Ubuntu or Debian machine over SSH. It runs Odoo 18, 19 and 20 in both editions, with automated backups, staging, Git deploys, custom domains, monitoring and PostgreSQL tuning built in.

Plans are flat, billed annually: $19 a month with hosting included, or $29 or $149 a month on your own servers, after a 14-day free trial, with unlimited instances from Pro and no per-user fees. Your cloud provider bills you separately for the server.

Best for: businesses and Odoo partners that want Odoo.sh-style workflows on servers they control, at a price that doesn't grow with every worker. See pricing.

6. A self-managed VPS

You can always rent a server and install Odoo, PostgreSQL and Nginx yourself. It is the cheapest option on paper and gives you complete control. The cost is your time: backups, SSL renewals, security updates, monitoring, staging copies and upgrades are all yours to build and maintain.

Best for: teams with in-house Linux and PostgreSQL skills and the time to run them.
