Servers
Add your own server over SSH
Turn any Ubuntu or Debian machine into a managed Odoo server.
Any Ubuntu or Debian machine you can reach over SSH can run Odoo with CloudPilot, whether it's in a data center, an office or any cloud.
Steps
- Go to Servers → Add server and choose Other (SSH).
- Enter the Host (public IP address or hostname), the SSH Port and the SSH user.
- Choose Authentication: a private key or a password. It is used once to install the CloudPilot agent, and stored encrypted.
- Optionally give the server a Name, such as "Production", and add it.
The agent installs itself and connects out to CloudPilot, so you don't need to open an inbound port for it. When setup finishes, the server is ready for Odoo instances.
Connecting your own servers is part of Pro and Business, with no limit on servers. See Self-host Odoo on your own server.
