Servers

Connect a cloud provider

Create servers in your own AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr or Akamai account.

When you connect a cloud provider, CloudPilot creates and sets up servers in your own account. The server and its bill stay with you.

Credentials each provider needs

Provider What to enter
AWS Access key ID and secret access key
Google Cloud Service account key (JSON)
Microsoft Azure Tenant (directory) ID, client (application) ID, client secret and subscription ID
DigitalOcean Personal access token
Hetzner API token
Vultr API key
Akamai (Linode) Personal access token

Pro and Business include one-click servers at every provider. Credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown again. Give them only the permissions needed to manage servers.

Create a server

  1. Go to Servers → Add server and choose the provider.
  2. Pick a Region close to your users and a Plan (server size) with at least 2 GB of RAM.
  3. Choose the Odoo version the server should prepare for, and create the server.

CloudPilot creates the machine, hardens it and installs the agent. Provider guides: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr, Akamai.
