Odoo management

Create an Odoo instance

Launch a new Odoo database on one of your servers.

  1. Go to Instances → New instance.
  2. Pick a Server. Only servers that are ready are listed.
  3. Enter a Name. It is also the database name: lowercase letters, digits, - and _, from 2 to 63 characters.
  4. Optionally add a Custom domain now, or later from the instance's Domains tab.
  5. Under Database options, set the admin password (or leave it blank and CloudPilot generates a strong one), the language and the country.
  6. Create the instance.

If CloudPilot generated the admin password, it is shown once. Store it in your password manager before you continue.

After creation

The instance page has tabs for the dashboard, domains, backups, staging, modules, logs, configuration and settings. From Config you can edit odoo.conf (saving restarts Odoo) and set the database master password.
