Create and refresh a staging copy

A staging copy is a clone of a production instance, for testing changes before they reach your users. Starter includes one staging copy of its instance; Pro and Business include unlimited staging.

Create a staging copy

1. Open the production instance and go to the Staging tab.
2. Choose Create a staging copy and give it a Staging name.
3. Store the generated admin password when it is shown.

Outgoing email and scheduled actions are neutralised on the copy, so it doesn't email customers or run production jobs.

Refresh from production

To bring staging up to date, choose Refresh from production. This replaces the staging data with a fresh copy of production.
