Backups, offsite storage and restores

CloudPilot backs up the Odoo database and filestore in Odoo's standard backup format.

Schedules and retention

Each instance can have one or more backup schedules, each with a Retention (days) setting and a storage location (Store in). Default schedules and storage are under Settings → Backup storages.

Offsite storage

Choose Add backup provider to keep backups in storage you control:

• S3-compatible: Amazon S3, Akamai/Linode, Wasabi, MinIO and others (bucket, region, endpoint, access key and secret key).
• Azure Blob Storage
• Google Cloud Storage
• SFTP

Secrets are stored encrypted and never shown again. You can set a default provider and an optional path prefix.

Download, restore and notes

The Backups page lists backups for every instance. You can filter by instance, download a backup, add a note, restore it to the same instance or another one, or delete it. Anyone with read access can download; restoring and deleting need the Admin or Full role.
